The Hawaii Children’s Foundation

The Hawaii Children’s Foundation is a 501 c(3) public charity dedicated to developing a rich, impactful relationship between the local business community, teachers and students of the public school system in Hawaii.   The goal is to increase student success by executing programs that enhance Hawaii Content Performance Standards and National Literacy Standards.

HCF is also focused on providing teachers with 21st century competencies through Hawaii’s General Learner Outcomes. We are executing programs that deliver valuable Professional Development Credits; enhance teachers’ understanding of current workplace challenges, so everyone can work together to promote student success.

The Hawaii Children’s Foundation is a 501(c)3 public charity founded by the late Dr. Henry Tai. The charity has received funding from the Bea Adair-Lillian Byars Cancer Fund, The Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation and Central Pacific Bank.

Donations will be applied to Support My Class Wish Lists. Donations will be paid via PayPal and your PayPal receipt may be used for your tax deduction.

Our 3 core initiatives:

Teacher Internship Program

Providing 1st-12th grade educators with an orientation of today’s workforce and the essential skills that students will need to be successful in college, the workplace and as good citizens in various industries with a hands-on experience from the mailroom to the boardroom.

After-School Programs

After-School programs for Hawaii’s students include the Media Academy, Lead to Succeed, Music & Technology Today, and Females Empowered programs. Our goal is to expose students to industry leaders and professional businesses partners from the community by creating comprehensive and innovative curriculum’s that provide students with problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
